February 2010: On Sunday 14th February 2010 15 of the Lewes Singers sang the services once more at Salisbury Cathedral. There were lots of lovely comments, especially about our Byrd 4-part mass.

February 10: On Saturday 6th February we gave a concert in Lewes to help raise funds for the St John Sub Castro organ which is in urgent need of repairs and restoration. We have a close relationship with St John's and are delighted to be able to give something back by way of a fund-raising concert. The concert raised over £700.

The programme featured sacred music by composers from the 16th to the 21st centuries, including J S Bach's motet Komm, Jesu, Komm.

October 07: Concert raises over £1,000

Our 'Voices for Hospices' concert in Lewes on October 6th raised over £1,000 for the St Peter & St James Hospice at Chailey!

September 07: Forthcoming cathedral visits

The Lewes Singers have been invited by both Canterbury Cathedral and York Minster to sing services as a visiting choir. We are planning to visit York in 2009. Plans for Canterbury have yet to be finalised.
